The Wurtsboro Board of Trade and Village of Wurtsboro Announce Ribbon Cutting for Canal Park Basketball & Pickleball Courts

WURTSBORO, NY — The Wurtsboro Board of Trade and the Village of Wurtsboro are proud to invite the community to the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Canal Park Basketball and Pickleball Courts on Saturday, May 30th at 10:00 AM at Canal Park, located at the corner of Canal and Pine Street in Wurtsboro.

This exciting community celebration marks the completion of a project designed to bring residents together through recreation, wellness, and outdoor activity. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and celebrate this new addition to the Village.

The event will include:
• Official ribbon cutting ceremony
• Community gathering and photo opportunities
• Light refreshments
• Tours of the new basketball and pickleball courts

Canal Park was made possible through the Silver Feather Grant from Sullivan 180, whose support helped turn this vision into a reality for the Wurtsboro community.

“This park represents community collaboration, healthy living, and creating a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike,” said representatives from the Wurtsboro Board of Trade.

The Wurtsboro Board of Trade, Village of Wurtsboro, volunteers, and community partners worked together to help bring the project to life and continue investing in recreational opportunities for the area.
